Our School

Welcome message from the Co-Head Teachers

We are delighted to welcome you to our school. There is something very special about St James’ and we are incredibly proud of our unique children, supportive parents, inspirational staff and forward thinking governors, where we all work together to make St James’ a safe, happy and fun place to learn.

We are proud of our diverse multi-faith, multi-cultural and multi-ethnic pupils, staff and community which make St James’ a rich, unique and harmonious place to learn, work and visit.
Our vision is best demonstrated through our core values: Care, Courtesy, Consideration and Cooperation.

At St James’, we believe that children should be curious about their learning. Through our engaging curriculum, we ensure that children can foster a passion for learning that will help to develop high aspirations and a lifetime of memories. We have learning and high standards at the heart of all we do.

We encourage all our children to achieve the best they can across every area of school, from the rich and broad curriculum to the wide range of extra-curricular activities. Our aim is for our children to be confident, creative, caring, resilient, inquisitive young adults with a desire to learn and achieve the best they can, in all they do.

St James’ is a thriving, happy and caring church school where the children are at the heart of all we do.
